Eddie Amburgey, age 73, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017.
He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, enjoyed bowling and fishing and his frequent trips to Daytona, FL. Retired from George J. Igel Construction after 40 years of service. He recently became a lifetime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18.
Surviving family includes wife of 52 years, Linda; children, Vickie (Don) Clagg, Danny (Maria); grandchildren, Matthew (Anna), Jeremy (Heather), Aaron, Hannah, Gabrielle, Brandon (Aurora) and Chris; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Fal'len, Aiden, Liam Michael; daughter-in-law, Kristal Scarberry; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Hetzel and Gurra; son, E.J., brother, Arthur; grandson, Aaron Joseph Michael; great-grandson, Caleb Andrew.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial to follow at Obetz Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd, Dublin, OH 43017.
