George W. Campbell, 84, of Columbus, a resident at Villa Angela Care Center since 2001, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016.
He was born December 14, 1931 in Harmony, N.C., son of the late Harvey and Lula Brunner Campbell.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Dalton Campbell; sons, Donald L. Dalton and Kenneth R. Campbell. Brothers; Harvey Campbell, Thurby Campbell, Alonzo Campbell. Sisters; Margaret Turner, Elizabeth Brown, Lois Campbell, Lucille Campbell.
He is survived by his sons, Melvin Muhammad (Gayle) Campbell, Michael W. (Charlene) Campbell and James I. (Lilly) Campbell; daughter, Carla (Phillip) Reed; brother, Robert L. (Yvonne) Campbell; sister, Eva (Ernest) Campbell; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Wake service will be Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Church of Christ, 1180 Shanley Dr. Columbus 43224, with visitation one hour prior to services.
Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
