Robert A. "Bob" Matthews, 80 of Columbus, went to be with his loving Lord on January 26, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born on February 19, 1935 to the late Virgil A. and Mary L. (Partin) Matthews in Pineville, KY. Survived by wife of 59 years Jessie Pauline (Evans) Matthews, children Kim (Steve) Temple and Keith (Lori) Matthews, grandchildren Amanda (Ty) Acheson, Matthew (Kylie) Temple, Ashley (David) See and Matthew (Della) Carver, great grandchildren Blake, Cohen, Oliver, Winslet, Allison, Emily and Myka, sister Carole Strauss, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Billy (Kelly) Matthews.
Friends may call at Jersey Baptist Church, 13260 Morse Rd. SW, New Albany on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm and on Saturday from 9am until time of service at 10am. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus, OH.
