Barbara Jean Smith

Barbara Jean Smith, 79, of Grove City, OH, passed away on May 2, 2016. She was born on November 29, 1936 in Columbus, OH. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Grove City, where she was a member of the Adult Choir and the Parish Health and Wellness Group. She was an Employee Health Nurse for The Ohio Department of Public Safety and The Ohio Housing Finance Agency where she was affectionately known as Nurse Barb.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin B. Zenker, daughter, Karen and aunt, Laura (Lolly) Zenker.

Surviving family includes children, Mark D. Smith, Laura S. (John) Donovan, siblings, Dolores Keller, Carol Melvin, grandchildren, Adam J. Orsborn, Michael J. Orsborn, Rachel Orsborn, Ryan W. Donovan, Kathleen L. Donovan, Christian P. Donovan, Emily A. Donovan, great-grandchildren, Gabriel Orsborn, Daniel Orsborn, Mackenzie Orsborn, sister-in-law, Carol Smith and brother-in-law, Wilson Rudolph. The family would also like to recognize Theresa Draher, Paula Daniel, Karen Farkas, Robin Hepler, Terrie McDaniels and the wonderful staff at Kobacher House for their amazing support during this difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, Grove City, OH 43123 on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1pm.
