Carol Joan Scott, 83, of Grove City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Carol was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 4, 1934 to Lawrence and Carol (Garrett) Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lolly Powell and stepfather, Paris Garrett.
Carol is survived by her soul mate of 65 years, Marshall Scott; children, Marsha (Jeff Stoneking) Scott, Randy Scott, Victor (Lori) Scott; grandchildren, Scott (Stacey) Long, Lisa (Eric)Scott, Nicholas (Aubrey) Birkhead, Afton Stoneking, Tyler Scott, Madison Scott, Claire Scott; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Jacob, Mackenzie, Aiden, Nicholas, jr., Molly, Emrie; sister, Evelyn Briggs; brother, Gary (Cathy) Miller. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Patrick family for all of their love and support over Carol's lifetime. Carol's loss will be felt by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and family too numerous to name.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 9-11 a.m. Burial will follow immediately after at Concord Cemetery, 6244 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
