Dorothy C. Compton, age 79, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. She was born October 2, 1937 in Virginia.
Preceded in death by husband, Arthur Compton; parents, Sylvia and Celeste Fiore; brother, Anthony Fiore; son-in-law, Joseph Karr; grandchildren, Michelle, Lynn and Bradley; brother-in-law, Billy Fagg.
Survived by four sisters and their spouses. She was a loving mother and nurturing grandmother of eight children and their spouses; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was known for her beautiful flower gardens and her love for children.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
