Everett L Scott

Everett L. Scott, age 66 of Columbus, passed away at his residence on July 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 18, 1950 to the late Mose Hart Sr., and Juanita (Barnes) Troupe in Memphis, TN. Everett served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Defense Depot in Memphis, TN and retired from Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Columbus, OH, currently employed at The Home Depot on Hamilton Rd. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Gerald Scott and step father Charles Troupe. Everett is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Carol (Rogers) Scott, children Ronald Scott, Gillian Scott and Charles Scott, grand pup Cognac, siblings Jacquelyn Scott, Islam Beyah, Jocelyn (Bobby) Downs, Karolyn Troupe, Lisa Hart-Edwards, Livia Hart-Woods and Mose Hart Jr., several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 4pm until time of service at 5pm.
