Lewis E. Taylor

Lewis Taylor, age 80, passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 18, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 5, 1936 in Red Jacket, WV.
He retired from Navistar International and is a US Army Veteran. Lewis was a longtime member of Heritage Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving family includes wife, Betty Taylor; children; David (Joy), Greg (Kristin), Chuck, Natalie (Glen); 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; 2 sisters; 4 brother and his loving dog, Maverick.
Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Anna Taylor; brother, Sonny; sister, Betty; grandson, Derrick; niece, Debbie; nephew, Charlie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to service.
Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
