George E. Williams, 92, Mt. Vernon, OH passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017. George was born in WV on March 25, 1925, to the Gilbert H. and Izetta (Cowger) Williams and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Viola (Oursler) Williams; sons, Tommy and George Williams; 9 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Luanna Leadbetter, daughter-in-law, Joyce Williams; sisters, Judy, Betty and Dorothy; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, October, 3, 2017, 10-11 AM with the Funeral Service at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
