Dorothy E. (Smith) Johnson, 97 of Williamsport, passed on October 1, 2017.
Preceded in death by parents, W. Edward and Rosa Smith; siblings, Gladys Long, Gerry Kuhns, Margaret Johnson, Joseph Smith, Mary Hutchinson, and Howard Smith; husband of 28 years, Richard M. Johnson Sr. of West Jefferson; son, Richard (Ann) M. Johnson Jr.; and daughter, Doris E. (Johnson) Barnett.
Survived by children Dean (Ginny) Johnson of Clearwater, FL, Tony Barnett of Williamsport, and Dawna Johnson of Williamsport; grandchildren, Christine, Andy, Brian, Todd, Kelly, Sara, Jennifer, Jodi, Julie, Richard, Stevie and Breena; 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; very special BFF, Norma Jean Hockenbery.
Grew up in Crooked Tree, Ohio then Columbus where she worked for the Rail Road during WWII, West Jeff where she was very active in the Fire Belles and mothers club, (helping raise money to start first Kindergarten there) made cakes for many, many people. Lived in Dunedin, FL for 35 years where she worked at Mease hospital as a PCT. Then spent the last 9 years in Williamsport, Ohio. She loved making beautiful quilts and shared them with every grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
We appreciate all your prayers very much. Thank you. AND PLEASE share a memory that you have of this wonderful, hard working, sweet, fun and kind lady. THANKS!

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017 at 2pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Jefferson, OH. There will then be a Memorial Service at 4pm at Fivepoints United Methodist Church, 18112 Five Points Pike, Mt. Sterling, OH.
