Della L. Penix Purdy, age 84, passed away on October 18, 2017.
Preceded in death by parents Jake and Lula Blevins; first husband Bob Penix; son Noah Penix.
Survived by beloved husband David Purdy; sister Eula Fay; children Bob Jr. (Peggy) Penix, John (Carolyn) Penix; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Phyllis (Mick) Gourley; stepsons Michael and Miles Purdy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be October 23, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Grove City, starting at 10am until time of service at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, OH. Services officiated by Della's nephew Aaron Blevins. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Della's memory to National Parkinson Foundation Ohio.
