Ruth (Henderson) Harrison, 78, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018.
Ruth attended South High School, Columbus, Ohio. Ruth was married to her husband Gary L. Harrison for 57 years and had four children who she would do anything for and loved very much.
Ruth was a great cook and spent many years babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On Sunday afternoons Ruth enjoyed shopping at her favorite stores. Also, she enjoyed going to see her grandchildren play ballgames, dance recitals and watching them play musical instruments.
Preceded in death by parents Meredith Henderson and Oma Payne, sisters Sylvia and Minnie Henderson, Barbara Willford, Judith Henderson, brothers Meredith Henderson Jr. "Buddy", Clarence Eugene Henderson "Gene" and Raymond Henderson.
Survived by husband Gary L. Harrison, sister Olive Henderson, nephew William Willford (Alicia and William), sons Gary Harrison (Kim), Robert Harrison, daughters Patricia Johnson (Dave), Sharon Leach (Mark), grandchildren Brandi (Brent), Amber, Jacqueline (Mark), Chris (Alisha), Derek, Alyson and Haley (Nolan). Great-grandchildren Kylie, Taylor, Addison and Kingston. Great-great grandchildren Bentley and Jaylenn and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 10am at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
