Katie Hord

Kathleen "Katie" Hord (nee Engert), age 85, passed away surrounded by her daughters on May 8, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on February 11, 1933 in Columbus, OH. She is survived by the Love of Her Life and Husband of 63 years, Ronald Hord; children Susan Hord (Ed Grennan), Mary Lou (John) Murray, Brenda Hord, Ron (Lynne) Hord, Jr. and Greg (Joyce) Hord; Grandchildren Zachary Grennan, Josh (Nikki) Murray, Ben (Kathleen) Murray; Johnathan Hord, Kaity Hord (Anthony Pezzutti) and Sydney Hord; Great-Grandchildren Noah Murray, Elliott Murray, and soon to be born Great Granddaughter. She will be sadly missed by her dearest friends Dee, Marty and Lorna. Our Mom enjoyed family and friends, playing cards and bingo. She never met a football pool she didn't like and always had a special "spunk" about her. She will be sadly missed by all and in our hearts forever.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, OH on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at St. Mathias Church, 1582 Ferris Rd. Columbus, OH at 10am with Father Larussa officiating.

Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.

Luncheon after burial will be held at St. Mathias Church immediately after.
