Gary Lewis Thompson

Gerald L. "Gary" Thompson, age 78, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. He was born on March 23, 1940 in Zanesville, OH.
Gary was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the USS Wasp.
Surviving family includes wife, Pam Thompson; children, Gary (Brenda) Thompson of Tuscon, AZ and Jennifer (Eric) Kobylski of Wickliffe, OH; grandchildren, Andrew (Kristine), Brandon (Marlene), Joseph (Emily), Julianne and Kaylee; sister, Sue Clegg; brother, Jimmy (Ruth) Thompson; close family friend, Lori Thompson.
Preceded in death by parents, Stephen and Georgianna Thompson, son; Mark Thompson; brothers, Larry and Doug Thompson.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
