Colleen L. Starkey, 85, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Colleen was born on January 7, 1933 in Lesage, WV to the late Grover and Carroll (Holley) Massie.
In addition to her parents, Colleen is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Starkey and sister, Joann Massie.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney (Annette) Starkey and Eric Douglas Starkey; daughter, Valerie (Dean) Starkey; granddaughter, Erica Starkey; grandson, Michael Starkey; great-grandchildren, Gauge, Eriana, Mateo, Eric; sister, Leah (Ken) Brewer; many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Colleen was lifetime member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, square dancing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10am with a visitation one hour prior also at Newcomer NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Colleen's honor to Christ Presbyterian Church, 4220 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, OH 43224.
