Cheryl J. Huff

Cheryl J. (Glassburn) Huff, age 71, of Johnstown, OH., formerly of Gahanna, OH, passed away on September 28, 2018. She was born on September 13, 1947 in Columbus, OH, daughter of James and Laurabel Huffman Glassburn of Columbus, OH.

Survived by husband of 50 1/2 years Roger Huff, son David and daughter Danae, sister Judy Metcalf, brother-in-law Scott Huff and sister-in-law Francis Huff, nephews Terry and Todd Metcalf and Scott Michael Huff, along with many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father James Glassburn, mother Laurabel Hufman Glassburn, father-in-law Noble Huff, mother-in-law Madeline Estep Huff, sister-in-law Jackie Huff and brother-in-law Royce Metcalf. Her grandparents, aunts and uncles have also preceded her in death.

She retired in 2005 from Chase Bank, formerly Bank One after 18 years of service in the date entry, plastic credit card and accounting depts, also working at Huntington and Ohio National Banks and The Citadel Military College in Charleston, SC while Roger was in the Air Force. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and also Karl Road Christian Church of Columbus, OH, teaching in the preschool age groups and working in the church Food Bank during the 1970s. She started her search of the Huff, Glassburn & Huffman family trees in 2006, and has continued to update information of current members of the families. She traveled over Ohio, collecting information and pictures, visiting the Ohio Historical Society in Columbus and Gallipolis, Ohio to document family members from the 1800 to early 1900s.
