William Bruce Hecker

William was born June 14, 1936 to James and Clara (Keller) Hecker.

He loved his wife of 55 years, children, and family deeply. His passions were Bluegrass and Country Gospel Music, fishing, gardening, carpentry and farming. He retired from American Showa in 2007 and was a member of the Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Marengo, Ohio.

William will be deeply missed by his children David (Angi) Hecker, Crystal (Mark) Grubaugh, Charles (Judy) Hecker, Sheila (David) Arehart and Glenda Plowman, grandchildren Michelle (Samuel) Soper, David Jr. (Cassandra) Hecker, Donovan (Janine) Hecker, Daniel (Michelle) Hecker, Dwayne (Angel) Hecker, Monica, Leigha, Amanda, Justin, Brittney, Aaliyah, Catelyn (Michael) Miller,Lacie, Agusta and Madalynn, 36 great grandchildren; brother Gary (Janet) Hecker; sister Janine (Hal) Hoffman.

William was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ermalyn, granddaughter Felicia Marie Edwards, grandson Dustin Michael Hecker, and great-granddaughter Merideth Rose Spires.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9am to 10:30am at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus.

Funeral services will follow at 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where military rites will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Morrow County Hospice.
