Barbara Jean Williams

Barbara Williams, 65, of Steubenville, OH passed away February 25, 2020. She was born on September 29, 1954 to the late Gloria Rosetta Banks (Williams) and Robert Leonard Holmes.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Louis and Thomas Banks.
Surviving family includes, sons, David (Abby Reschke) Williams of Westerville, OH, Mandel (Bricia Gomez) Williams of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Zsaylen, Cameron; brother, Lamont Banks of Cornelius, NC; long-time friend, Jack Williams Jr.; as well as many other close friends and extended family.
Barbara worked at the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation for over 20 years before she retired and moved to Huntersville, NC. Barbara was very active in her church. She volunteered her gift of knitting and served by delivering blankets and caps to those who suffered through chemotherapy along their breast cancer journey.
Barbara was an avid reader. She enjoyed puzzles, and loved watching horror and Sci-Fi movies.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be sorely missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5th , 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus Ohio 43231, with a funeral service immediately following at 6:00 pm.
