Tammy Pickens, 55, of Columbus, Ohio, was called home on Sunday, April 5, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 12, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of Jerry and Lucille (Hall) Holbrook. She was a 1983 graduate of Grove City High School. Tammy enjoyed country music, visits to Nashville, and she was one of the proud founders of WOAM (Woman on a Mission) fan club. Family was an important aspect of her life. Tammy loved her sons and grandchildren with all her heart. She enjoyed cheering on her nephews in all their endeavors; she was known as her nephews' number one fan.
She is survived by her three sons, Brian (Lori) Pickens , Colton (Audrey) Pickens, and Brent Pickens; five grandchildren, Jennafer Pickens, Kimberly Pickens, Brian (B) Pickens, Jerry Pickens, and Larry Pickens; three sisters, Sheila Holbrook, Angela Holbrook (Luis Zavala), and Cassie Hernandez; four nephews, Alonso Zavala, Oscar Zavala, RJ Hernandez, and CJ Hernandez. She was preceded in death by boyfriend Kelly Bailey of Sanford, NC, and grandparents; Ann (Campbell) and Raymond Burchett and Cassie (Bailey) and Roy Hall.
A special thanks to Darby Glenn Nursing Home. Services will be private due to COVID-19. A celebration of life will be celebrated in the fall.
