Marcum, Jimmy Ray 1949-2020
Jim "Wolf Man" Marcum passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2020 at the age of 70.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents James Marcum and Donna Fought. Jim was survived by his faithful, loving and best friend Biscuit; former wife Deborah Messer and their two sons Chad (Michelle) Masterson, Jimmy Ray Marcum II, Lisa Wells; grandchildren, Dylan, Mykala, Kaitlyn, Makenzie; great grandchildren, Adler, Kyleigh; brother, Harold Marcum; sister, Christina Marcum and many cousins, in-laws and friends.
Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 12, 1949. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country as a Machine Gunner during the Vietnam War where he received the Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 star and Rifle Qualification Badge (Expert). He was honorably discharged in 1968. Jim retired from RCI construction on McKinley Ave in Columbus, Ohio. Jim enjoyed watching westerns and sports, mastering video games so he could compete with his grandkids and spending time with his family and friends. Jim was loved by all who knew him and didn't know a stranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. His presence on this earth will be greatly missed.
