Kenneth (Kenny) D. Bevan, 65, of Mt. Vernon OH - but majority of his life Johnstown, OH - died peacefully Wednesday July 22, 2020 in Mt. Vernon, OH.
He was born August 17, 1954 in Ironton, OH - the oldest child of the late Blain and Alma Bevan of Johnstown, OH.
Kenny was a construction worker for many years where he was affectionately nicknamed B-Bop. In his younger days - he was the life of the party. Loved having a good time, loved his 4x4 trucks and would go mud running, enjoyed working on cars, playing cards - just having fun. In his later years, he was challenged with many health issues but remained as independent as he could until the Lord took him home.
Kenny was a Christian - he trusted in the Lord. Today, he is walking on streets of gold, seeing his Jesus, and reuniting with his parents, grandparents, and countless other relatives. He has a new body - no more pain and no more challenges. He is whole.
He was preceded in death by his parents Blain and Alma Bevan. He is survived by his son Nick (Jill) Bevan of Mt. Vernon OH and three grandchildren that he adored Trenten and the twins Carson and Colton all of Mt. Vernon, OH. Also surviving him are his two younger siblings - John C. Bevan Granbury Tx and Pamela S Keasey Johnstown, OH.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at First Southern Baptist Church, 310 W. Jersey St., Johnstown from 11am until time of service at 1:30pm with Pastors Michael Rector and Joshua Boyd officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.
