John A. Arthur Sr.

John A. "Johnny" Arthur Sr., age 76, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. He was born on February 15, 1944 to Rev. Shelby and Freda Arthur in Charleston, West Virginia. On October 18, 1991 he was married to his loving wife, Dorothy Arthur. Johnny will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by so many. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Rev. Shelby and Freda Arthur, son Kevin Arthur, granddaughter Taylor Gardner, brothers Ralph (Opal) Arthur and Lewis Arthur, sister-in-law Faye Arthur, son-in-law Gary Rossiter. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dorothy Arthur; his children, John Arthur Jr. (Kat), Malinda Gardner, Diane Rossiter, Debbie (Mark) Blasik, Patty (John Jr.) Meade; grandchildren, Alexis, Arial, Josey, RaeAnna, Wyatt, Montana, John III, Hannah, Aiden, Evan, Brooklyn, and Jonathan; sister, Ruth Meadows; brother Basil Arthur; sister in law, Shirlene Arthur; aunt, Wanda Arthur; many nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends and extended family. The family will receive guests at the Southwest Free Will Baptist Church on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 10am until time of funeral service at 12pm. Interment to follow at Alton Cemetery.
