William Phillips

William "Bill" Phillips, age 84, passed away on April 29, 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 16, 1937 to the late Clarence Phillips Sr. and Dorothy Weaver. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Clarence Phillips Jr. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Fran; brother, Richard (Crystal) Phillips; sister-in-law Sandy Phillips; four children, Mike (Sherry) Phillips, David Phillips, Sheri Senft, and the late Dee Howard; 12 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren. Bill spent over 40 years in carpentry work including commercial, construction, trim, and remodeling. He was also a longtime member of the Briggs Road Baptist Church with over 50 years of serving God in various ways such as Baptist Men Leader, young boys Royal Ambassador Leader, and church maintenance. Hi strongest calling was telling others about Jesus with his faithful witnessing Partner, John Hall. His life's joys included building projects, family card games, and fishing with his boys at his friends Eugene's farm. He will be greatly missed by all. Friends may call at the Briggs Road Baptist Church 3231 Briggs Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204 on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Alton Cemetery. Pastor Ray Umphrey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL.
