Paul Martin Baatz

November 1, 1959 — December 16, 2021

Paul M. Baatz, 62, was called home on December 16, 2021.

Paul is survived by his loving and devoted partner, Robin Nettles. He is also survived by his brother Matthew (Carey) Christian, sisters Julie (Scott) Adams and Melody Merriman, his children Molly and Lucas Baatz, many nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

Paul was an amazing man who never let his challenges define him. Paul graduated from Otterbein College with a Bachelor's degree in Education and Marion Technical with an Associates degree. Paul was a teacher (grades one to eight) as part of his career life and was very proud of being able to make a difference.

He celebrated his 32 years of sobriety at the beginning of 2021. Paul was a true friend and mentor to many of those he met through AA and Al Anon. Paul continuously gave back to this community unselfishly and with great honor. Paul was an avid music and movie buff and enjoyed reliving many great quotes to his friends and family. Paul loved to laugh and most definitely lived his life to the fullest. Many concerts and travels reveal how much he truly lived life.

Paul was a wonderful and loving partner to Robin, a great dad raising his children, and a wonderful brother to his siblings. But first and foremost, Paul was a true friend to all who were lucky enough to have him as part of their lives.

Paul Baatz, you will be missed but never, ever forgotten.

Rest in Peace Paul, it is well deserved.
