Alta Jane Morgan

Alta Jane Morgan, age 61, passed away on March 2, 2022. She was born on April 7, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio to Barbara J. (Hutton) and William P. Moreland.

Alta had a kind, loving, and generous heart. She always had a smile, helped anyone who needed it, and didn't know a stranger. She was an avid donor for the American Red Cross and through the years has donated multiple gallons of blood. She was proud of that accomplishment.
She loved all of God's creatures, especially cats. She had nine cats of her own and several cat colonies that she fed daily and cared for. She said the cats knew when she would be there, and were waiting for her when she arrived. Every winter she made sure that each of the colonies had shelter with straw for warmth. Caring for and feeding the cats made her happy, and was important to her. She will be missed by many people, but also by all the fur babies she loved, who loved her right back.

Alta was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Marcum and William Moreland and grandparents, Alta L. and Henry G. Hutton

She is survived by her daughter, Colleen (Jeffrey) Watkins; sister, Yvonne (Kevin Hite) Duff; other siblings Kay (Jim) Thirtyacre, Bonnie Sue, Mike (Jennifer) Moreland, Mike (Pam) Laird, Stephen Fee, Michele (Jerry) Hickman, Tammy Moreland, Dawn Moreland, Billie(John) Starner ; grandchildren, Trey Abrams, Alexis (Noah) Weston, Cameron Watkins, Carson Watkins, Colten Watkins; great-granddaughter, Allison Abrams; special friend, Denise Mucci; many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 4-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
