John Yoder, 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away March 28, 2022. He was born on February 13, 1948 in Columbus to the late Leroy and Edith (Spouse) Yoder.
He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Henry and Marie Armentrout; grandson, Kyle Sansom; sister-in-law, Kathy Yoder; brother-in-law, John Armentrout; nephew, Bobby Lee Yoder.
Surviving family includes, wife of 55 years, Dorothy Yoder; children, John (Chrystal Chochard), Lisa (James) Sansom, Tim (Heather Shisler), Lori Yoder; grandchildren, Austin, John "Trey" William III (Samantha Minnich), Katelyn, Tristan, Emersyn; brother, Robert Yoder; sister-in-laws, Pat Salsbury, Betty (Tom) Golden; brother-in-law, Chuck (Cindy) Armentrout, and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Glenn (Elaine) Brumfield, Roy Norman, Rob Siemer, Larry Ragland and countless others.
John retired from Navistar (Springfield) after 35 years of service. He was a huge sports fan and especially loved the Buckeyes. He was a dedicated Director of Columbus Softball Tournaments. He was inducted into the Columbus Slow Pitch 2012 Softball Hall of Fame. John spent many years playing and coaching softball.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 4, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Newcomer SW Chapel 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio 43123. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 5, 2022 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
