Herbert C. Jones, 70, of Marengo, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007, at St. Ann's Mt. Carmel Hospital after a long battle with Alzheimer. Born to the late James and Burnace (Pendergast) Jones in Columbus, on July 25, 1937, Herb is also preceded in death by a sister, Deloris Neer. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Judith (Dorris) Jones; daughters, Pamela (Doug) Daniel, Phoenix, AZ and Theresa (Dan) Woodworth, New Market, NH; grandchildren, Ian William and Haylee Mae Daniel; sisters, Lorraine Roussin and Betty Giffin, St Petersburg, Fl, Genevieve (Zeke) Kidwell, Hallandale, FL and Carol (Bobby) Housley, Marengo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 4-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH, with the service on Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, Craig Mulpas will officiate with burial to follow at Marengo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
