Betty Lou (Woolwine) Gollihue, 85, went home peacefully to be with the Lord from her home in Canal Winchester, Ohio on December 28, 2022.
She was born October 3, 1937 in Weirwood, (Pax) West Virginia to the late Hobart and Virginia (Stover) Woolwine.
A retired employee of almost 40 years with Western Electric and ending with Lucent technologies.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Vickie) Gollihue; siblings, Karen Moore and Dusty (Sue) Woolwine; sister-in laws, Joan Woolwine and Becky Woolwine; daughter-in-law, Tina Gollihue; grandchildren, Marsha (Brian) Feeney, Melisha (Melvin) Stiffler, Misty (Jack) Chen, Dayton Gollihue; great grandchildren, Chase, Meliah, Caden, Melayna, Kayla and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dayton Gollihue; son, David Gollihue; daughter, Carol Gollihue; brothers, Larry Woolwine, Bill Woolwine; brother-in-law, Bill Moore.
She was a garden enthusiast with a green thumb, growing flowers and vegetables of all types. Her favorite was canna's, dinner plate dahlia's and loved bearded irises and roses. She loved western movies, people, and animals, especially dogs.
More than anything, she loved Jesus, her Savior - she loved hearing and reading his Word.
Calling hours will be from 11am-1pm on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 with the funeral service immediately after at 1:00pm.
Friends and Family can join at Cypress Church, 2735 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio 43123 for her celebration of life following the funeral service.
