Bonnie A. Lathem

Bonnie "Belle" (Simkins) Lathem was born on August 18th, 1940. She grew up in a modest home having very little but learned to appreciate everything, she learned hard work ethic, and discovered her love for animals. She graduated from Grove City High School in 1958 where she gained many friends and enjoyed cheerleading. Bonnie married the love of her life Donald Lathem, on August 10th, 1985. Bonnie and Don collectively had 7 children, 18 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Bonnie's love for her family was undeniable. Bonnie retired from Management Computer Services where she did data entry and later would work in Home Health Care, touching many lives with her love and compassion. She never met a stranger and would help anyone she could. Bonnie had a love for fishing, traveling in their motor home, taking cruises, cooking, hosting parties, decorating for all the holidays, and going to the casino to play the slots. On January 11th Bonnie peacefully passed away at home and was reunited with her husband Donald Lathem, daughter Christl Combs, son Craig Lathem, and parents Wayne (Wanda) Simkins and Louise (James) Rader. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her children, Ron (Vicky) Lathem, Donnie (Jaime) Lathem, Jason (Kimberly) Lathem, Amy (Tony) Klein, Cecil (Maria) Schinke, daughter in law Yvette Lathem, all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bonnie will be truly missed by not only family and friends but by the numerous people who's lives she touched.


Visitation Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 1pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
