Edward S. Sprouts

Edward Stetson Sprouts, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 23, 2023. Edward was born on April 24, 1940 in Wheeling, WV to the late Harold and Ann Sprouts.

Edward was an Industrial Arts teacher at Columbus Public Schools for 30 years. He received Educator of the Year award in 1985-86 from Whetstone High School. He had a successful business "Edwards Home Improvement" for 30 years. Edward volunteered at Habitat for Humanity for 3 years.

Edward and Judy had a loving, beautiful marriage of 61 years. He was lovingly remembered by his son Chris as "Old School." He is remembered by his son Brian as Superman. Both sons remembered their father as a great teacher.

Edward is survived by his wife Judy (Caldabaugh) Sprouts. Together they had two children, Brian (Cynthia) Sprouts, Christopher (Grace) Sprouts, grandchildren, Benjamin Sprouts, Alison (Matt) Amthor, great-grandchildren, Rhylee and Jaisey Amthor, siblings, Georgiann Brown, Michael (Becky) Sprouts, Susan Prugh, Mary Elias.

Visitation will be held from 2-5pm, Sunday, April 30, 2023 with a service to follow at 5pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065.

Private graveside service will be held at Dublin Cemetery.
