Arlan Arthur Wykle 83, of Grove City (formerly Gahanna for 34 years), lost his 3-year battle with cancer on Sunday October 22, 2023. Arlan was born September 27, 1940 in Jackson OH to Arthur and Alta (Swingle) Wykle. He was married to Donna J Leopard of Columbus in August of 1962. They have one daughter, Donna M (Greg) Hall of Grove City and one Goddaughter Mary Grzechowiak also of Grove City. 3 grandchildren, Travis D. Duppen of Gahanna, Dena R. (Casey) Greathouse of Blacklick and Devan M. Duppen of Columbus. 9 Great grandchildren, Landon, Jayden, Anissa, Chase, Caycee, Elijah, Emory, Layla and soon to be here, Legacy! Brother-in-law Richard (Cheri) Leopard of Reynoldsburgh, sister-in-law Judy (Ernie) Spires of Gahanna, Patricia (Tom) Caylor of Columbus and Nancy Wilcox of Columbus. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and a host of friends. Arlan loves life and loved summer cookouts, holidays with family, fishing and golfing. Most of all he loved his OSU football! Arlan was preceded in death by his parents Art and Alta, brother Ron and wife Donna. Arlan graduated from North High School in 1958 where he went on to work for National Electric Coil until the end of 1979 when he moved to Decatur Alabama with his wife Donna. Returning back to Ohio in June of 1984, Arlan and Donna owned and operated Cyros Market in Clintonville, Best Power Wash of Columbus. Arlan ended his working career at the Columbus Auto Auction in 2020 when he first got his cancer diagnosis. He will be greatly missed by all that has had the pleasure of knowing him. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio, OSU East Hospital and The James for all of the care and support provided through one of our toughest battles.
