Robert E. Barker Sr. age 85, went to his Heavenly home on December 25, 2023. Bob was born on September 10, 1938 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to his mother Pauletta Morton. Later he married Jean Fuller on November 7, 1959, and together they had a beautiful 64 years.
For years Bob was a skilled motorcycle racer, and was the 1968 World Drag Champ on a Harley Davidson Sportster, 1968 AHRA Spring National Drag Champ, 1968 NDRA National Champ, and 1969 NDRA Runner-up. Bob also could be found out on the links. Bob was a truck driver for 30 years for Roadway Express. Bob truly loved his family, a very loving father, grandfather, and husband, leaving behind a legacy he was proud of.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Jean, children; Lois, Robbie, and Donnie, grandkids; Nicole, Christopher, Lara, Rose, Rori, Kyla, and Haylie, great grandkids; Christopher, Logen, Hayden, Cora, Grayson, Nicholas.
A private ceremony will be held for Bob with a eulogy by Jerry Kirk.
