Patricia Anne Schulze, age 53, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 at 4:45 in the afternoon. Patti was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 20, 1970, to Ronald and Mary Schulze and grew up in Worthington, Ohio.
She graduated from Worthington High School and attended Columbus State Community College. She was employed by Mphasis as a Team Leader.
Patti is survived by her loving husband Greg Tavener, parents Ronald and Mary Schulze, brothers Michael (Molly) Schulze and Robert (Tammy) Schulze, mother- and father-in-Law, Dean and Carol Tavener. Nieces and Nephews, Elizabeth (Chris) Archer, Andrea Schulze, Eric (Sam) Schulze, Brad Schulze, Joe Schulze, Jennifer Schulze, and great nephew Calan R. Archer. Greg's sister, Dawn (Doug) Carlson, and their daughters Sarah Carlson and Audrey Carlson, and Greg's cousins, Cheri and Aryn.
Patti was loyal and dependable, always ready to help or encourage others. Patti will be remembered as a genuinely kind soul who had many friends who loved her very much.
Several churches of her family and her family's friends sent many prayers during her illness, "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment...rather, it should be that of your inner-self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." This was Patti, and I love her with all my heart.
Patti was a lover of all animals, especially her horses, Chuck and Mo. She loved spending numerous hours at the barn, the Central Ohio Riding Club, and with her friends Dennis and Leah.
She will also be missed by her 3 cats (Ace, Logan and Phillie) and her dog, Oakley, who we would take to the lake with us to see Greg's parents and our friends, Dave and Kathy.
Patti really appreciated all of her friends who came to visit her in the hospital, along with anyone who texted, called, or Facebooked her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 21st at the Central Ohio Riding Club at 2:00 p.m., and all are encouraged to come in their favorite tie-dye shirt and share their wonderful memories of Patti.
The family requests that instead of bringing flowers, you bring some copies of any pictures that you may have of you and Patti.
