Shirley had a zest for life and loved being with her family and friends. She was always on the go, whether it be hanging out at Indian Lake or traveling or taking in shows around town. She was always the first one ready to go. You never knew when and where she would sing a tune herself with her special renditions of "Georgia", "Bill Bailey" or "A Good Man." She was very active at her church, Westgate United Methodist, where she sang with the choir and played hand bells. The church also houses the Westside Free Store Ministries. This was a charity she was very passionate about. She spent many days and hours giving her heart and soul to the cause.
