William M. Gattis, 75, Columbus, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. William was born in Hillsborough, NC on November 25, 1938, to George and Beatrice (Clark) Gattis and is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donnell (Diana), George and Otis Gattis.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Phyllis; daughters, Anna Denise (Danny) Gattis-Lyles and Lynne (Larson) Gattis-Cunningham; brother, Walter (Patricia) Gattis; grandchildren, Danny Jr. and Skylar Lyles; special God-Daughter, Natasha Hubbard; nieces, nephews and many friends.
William retired from the Big Bear Company after 35 years of service.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2014, 9AM – 10AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 with the Funeral Service at 10AM. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
