Clara Belle McCorkle, 88, of Westerville, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born February 17, 1926 in Columbus, daughter of the late Earl and Mabel Wallace Sells.
In addition to her parents, Clara Belle was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Rev. George McCorkle; grandsons, Justin Wooster and Brian Willis; siblings, Leonard Sells, Lilly Hill and Mary Groby.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Carl) LeMaster; second daughter, Ruth Barrow; son, George (Sharon) McCorkle; sister, Faye Ross; grandchildren, George "Bucky" and Rick Collins, Dawn and Tim Breese, Mark and April LeMaster, Todd McCorkle, Tina (Kyle) Williamson, Tera Sentivany, Sara (Brian) Workman, Matt (Heather) McCorkle, Christa (Johnny) McElfresh and Kim (Chad) Franks; special friend, Bob Buchanon and many loving great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special family, friends and four legged friend Chewy.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Ledford, officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westerville Church of the Nazarene, 355 Cherrington Rd. Westerville.
