Aaron Daniel Corns, age 39, of Columbus, passed away on January 23, 2024, at the OSU James Cancer Hospital after a long illness. He was born on May 1, 1984, in Columbus to the late James R. Corns II and Sara Jane (Lightle) Corns.
Aaron recently retired from Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, having served Nationwide as a security officer in Lewis Center for many years. In his free time, Aaron enjoyed playing XBox and other video games, music, communing with his cats, watching horror films, and meeting his friends at Thirsty's Pub/Sloopy's.
Aaron will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his sister, Carrie (Dave) Paul, brother John Richard (Naomi) Corns; aunts and uncles Mary (Joseph) DeWitt of Columbus, Ki Soon Lightle of Waverly, Ohio, and Hank (Emily) Corns of Valrico, Florida; nephews Brandon Schneider and Jacob Grooms; and many cousins, co-workers, and close friends. In particular, Sylas Bebel and Trish DeWitt were instrumental in keeping Aaron's spirits high and supporting the family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Newcomer Northeast Chapel at 3047 East Dublin Granville Rd in Columbus, and Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm.
