Adam Roderick Carter, 16, of Orient, passed away March 25, 2008. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles O. Carter. Adam is survived by his loving parents, Paul Jay and Terrie Carter; maternal grandparents, Paul E. and Dorothy "Dottie" Scott; paternal grandmother, Phyllis L. Carter; aunts, Sue (Neil) Hamilton, Tonie Scott-Zeker and Bill Zeker, Nicole (Jason) Walker, Carolyn Sue (George) Beatty, Patricia Morrison, Betty Jean (Larry) Delk; uncles, Raymond Wymer, Phillip (Roxanne) Carter, Charles (Rose) Carter; special family friend, Mike "The Rotten Egg" Baumbusch; numerous cousins and countless friends. Adam was actively involved in school activities including cross country, track and the high school musicals for the last several years. He will be especially missed by his "movie night" friends. Our Son walks with God and leaves behind countless broken hearts. We wait for the day when we are with him again in the Kingdom of God. Adam's family would like to give special thank you to Nationwide Children's Hospital for the compassion and care that was given to Adam. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00AM Monday, March 31, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Celebrant will be Father Jan Sullivan with interment at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adam Carter Memorial Fund, c/o The Westfall Education Foundation, 19463 Pherson Pike, Williamsport, Ohio 43164.
