Afkham Naderi,age 87 passed away peacefully on April 18 at the First Community Village nursing home where she resided for the past 5 years fighting her battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her only daughter, Sita Bosheri (Behnam) and son in law, Parviz Behnam, grand daughters Mahasti Rittinger, Parisa Alpern, grand son Babak Behnam, grand son in laws David Rittinger and David Alpern, great grand sons Nema and Elijah. She is also survived by 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews in Iran, England, Canada and Australia. Her loving memory will always be cherished by her family and those who knew her. She was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, was very close to her grandchildren and always a great teacher to them. She was a Montesouri Preschool and elementary teacher for many years, she also served as nursing student teaching assistant for several years before she left Iran in 1979. She loved traveling and lived in Europe for 6 years before joining the rest of her family in the United States in 1987. She was a descendant of King Nader of Iran (1737-1749). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The First Community Village Nursing Home, in care of the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00p.m., Friday, April 22, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43231. Funeral services will be held 10:00a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Green Lawn Cemetery Chapel. Reverend Doug Nault will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
