Albert H Speaks

SPEAKS, Albert Henry, "Al", born July 2nd 1949, age 74, passed away Sunday, October 8th, 2023. He was a graduate of Highland High School, 1969. He then joined the United States Marine Corps as a Field Radio Operator for a Re-con unit during the Vietnam War. Later he worked as a roofer which he enjoyed. Albert retired from Gladden Community House after 30+ years of service.

Another way he provided service to others was through St. Johns Episcopal Church, by keeping their sanctuary in order and providing transportation to the elderly on Sundays for church services.

Preceded in death by his mother, Leona Fultz Speaks; father, James Speaks; brothers, Arthur and James Speaks; stepdaughter, Nickie and Grandson Andrew.

Survived by his wife of 32 years Sheila; his children, Albert Henry Speaks Jr, Lisa Marie Speaks, Steven Bell and Mark Stover; his grandchildren Christopher, Logan, Kaylee, Jessica, Kyle, JJ, Aspen; his brother, Frank Fox and sister, Barbara Barber.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 immediately followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel.
