Alberta Chandler

Alberta Chandler, age 84, passed away April 19, 2021. Born April 14, 1937 in Liberal, Missouri, Alberta graduated from Liberal High School in 1954, and attended Freewill Baptist Bible College, Nashville TN. Alberta married William F. Jones (deceased) in 1959 and they relocated to Ohio in 1965. They divorced in 1971 and she married Roger Chandler (deceased) in 1975. Alberta was retired but had worked as office manager and HR administrator at various places including: Children's Mental Health Services, Roach T-shirts, Union Tools, Construction Systems and Trinity United Methodist Church.
Alberta seldom spoke an unkind word - her nurses and caregivers loved her. Alberta loved old hymns, Bob Evans Restaurant, reading, puzzle books, Dancing with the Stars and spring flowers (which she had in her room to the end). But most of all she adored her children and grandchild. She was brokenhearted when she lost her youngest son, William Dale Jones, in 2016. Alberta was ready to be home with Jesus.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie E. Hoover and Vera (Perrin) Hoover; siblings, Howard Hoover, Mildred Blythe, (Vera) Gladys Hall, Charlie Hoover. She is survived by children, Michael F. Jones, and Susan Jones Kindler (Nathan Patronsky), Columbus, OH; stepdaughter, Lori Smith (Dale); granddaughter, Abigail Kindler, Honolulu, HI; and brother, Clifford Hoover, Liberal, MO.
Memorial Service to be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 2-4pm, at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 3005 Holt Road, Grove City OH 43123, with family receiving friends starting at 2:00, memorial service at 3:30. Interment and family service later this year at Barton City Cemetery, Liberal, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations of food or cash can be made to Vineyard Christian Fellowship Food Pantry.
