Alexander Lawrence, 83, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away February 2, 2023.
He was born in Bartow, Florida on September 21, 1939 to the late Andrew and Rose (Bell) Lawrence.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Pete, Willie Lee, and Walter Lawrence.
Surviving family includes loving wife, Jeanette; son, Lamar Lawrence, as well as many other loving family, friends, and students.
Alexander was a devoted member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was a retired school teacher & coach and proudly served as a soldier in the United States Army.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am with Funeral Services immediately following at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43215. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
