Alfred Robert Celli, July 7, 1945- December 6, 2021. Alfred "Al" Celli, age 76, of Dublin, OH, passed away on December 6, 2021 after a long illness. He was born in Columbus, OH to Guido and Anne Celli. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Guy, Jr. (Marge), and son Alan. Survived by his wife, Patricia; sister, Margaret (Tony) Melfi; daughter Renee (Jim) Palmer; granddaughters Kara and Morgan; grandson Brady; nieces Angela, Debbie, Donna and Sharon and nephew Michael, as well as many other special family members and friends.
Al was a 1963 graduate of Watterson High School, The University of Notre Dame in 1967 and The Ohio State University in 1970. Al earned many academic honors. He had a long career in IT Management for the State of Ohio and retired from STRS. Al was a long time member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed many hobbies including playing in the One More Time string band, photography, and collecting and crafting with rocks, minerals and gemstones.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society. A portion of proceeds from the estate sale of his rock, mineral and gemstone collection will go towards The Central Ohio Mineral, Fossil, Gem and Jewelry Show Scholarship. Memorial service to be held on Sunday, January 2, at 2:00 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 5475 Brand Rd, Dublin, OH 43017.
