Alice E. Heidmann, 92, of Pickerington, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Lutheran Village Nursing Home in Columbus. She was born May 25, 1915, in Curtice, OH, daughter of the late John and Ruth Rutchow Sandrock. In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Herman F. Heidmann (former pastor of North Community Lutheran Church, Columbus), and brother, the Rev. Charles (Marquerite) Sandrock. She graduated from Robinwood Hospital (St. Lukes Hospital) School of Nursing in Toledo, and was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pickerington. Alice is survived by her sons, Paul (Andrea) Heidmann of Brevard, NC and John (Judy) Heidmann of Orlando, FL; daughters, Carol (Dean) Engbrecht of Geneva, IL and Joyce (Larry) Gornall of Pickerington; grandchildren, Suzanne (Mike) Erler of St. George, UT, Brent (Jill) Engbrecht of Fargo, ND, Brad (Carla) Gornall of South Lake, TX, John Gornall of Lancaster, Rachel Heidmann of Brevard, NC, Michael Heidmann of Orlando, FL and Allison Heidmann of Key West, FL and six great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents of Lutheran Village, Kensington Place, Heartland Hospice, Epiphany Lutheran Church and for the compassion of Pastor Tim Kuenzli and Chaplain Jensen. Memorial service will be Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church, 6020 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 33413.
