Alice G. Mills, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by family on July 9, 2021.
She was born in Glenford, OH on March 5, 1932 to the late Paul and Glorine (Henderson) Gordon.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Harry A. Mills; and sister Gloria Starr.
Surviving family includes children, Liza (Jack) Farnlacher, Grant (Sharon) Mills, Alice (David) Knight; grandchildren, Cliffton (Brittany) Mills, Jeanne Mills; great grandson, Jordan Mills; sisters, Lillian Crist, Twila Paradis; special friends, Aggie Thompson, Kim Emrich, Eulavon Erhler, Dieu Bui; favorite nephew, Melvin Bond; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Alice was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church, where she taught bible school in the summer.
She was a member of the Ohio Historical Society.
Alice was an avid cook, gardener, world traveler, and a dedicated Patriot who loved her country.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus - OH 43231. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 15th, 2021 at 11:00 am also at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Thursday, July 15th, 2021 at St. Paul Reformed Lutheran Cemetery, Glenford - OH.
