On January 4, 2024, Alice Willis completed her journey on this earth and has been ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Emerson Willis and her sister, Opaline Meyer. Alice is survived by her children: Dena Hayden (Scott), Andy Willis (Kathy), Trent Willis (April) and special niece Jeri Soma; and grandchildren Holly Latkovic (Steve), Kally Ruffing (Tim), Austin Willis (Erika), Josh Willis (Rachel) and Emily Willis, along with a host of beloved extended family and friends. Alice was born to Kenneth and Erie Rice in Paintsville, Kentucky on February 13, 1937. Alice attended and graduated from West High School at the Hilltop, but remained a hillbilly her entire life. She worked at Fisher Body until she met and married her one true love, Emerson in 1960. Alice was the consummate homemaker, known for maintaining a comfortable and productive home in the face of overwhelming adversity – namely the aforementioned Emerson Willis (those who knew them best understand). Alice finished her professional career serving for 20 years at the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. Alice was a Bible-believing member of the Baptist faith.
