Allen Adkins, 71 years old, Hillsboro & Columbus resident, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010. Allen retired after 30 years of service with Fisher Body (GM).
Allen enjoyed fishing, casinos, auctions and truly loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Adkins, and one son, Gregory Adkins, three sisters: Derema Frick, Gloria Dearth, and Donna O'Horo.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (Green) Adkins of 34 years, loving mother, Dorothy (Dew) Ebright, two daughters, Jaclyn (Sam) Chandler and Rhonda (Michael) George, sister, Barbara Starker, four grandchildren: Allen and Sarah Eakins, Christopher and Courtney George, In-laws: Johnny and Debbie Green, Robert Green and Betty Hatfield, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2010, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2010, 11:00 AM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
Interment immediately following in Sunset Cemetery.
