Amelia Mae Smith, 91, of Pataskala, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Northview Senior Living Center in Johnstown. She was born August 11, 1916, in Pataskala, daughter of the late Charles Voorhees and Marie Tatham Voorhees Welch. In addition to her parents, Amelia is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Moore Smith and sister, Eileen Mohr. She was a former Queen of Licking County in 1934, best cook in Licking County and also was a dandy wife, mother and grandmother. Amelia is survived by her sons, Brad (Karen) Smith, Mark (Sharon) Smith and Phil (Connie) Smith; daughter, Susan (Gary) Fisherbaugh; brothers, Glenn (Gil) Voorhees and Sheldon (Natalie) Voorhees; sister, Wiladeen Zwicker; twenty-five grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Pataskala Presbyterian Church, 405 S. Main Street, Pataskala. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the Pataskala Presbyterian Church, 405 S. Main Street, Pataskala, Ohio 43062. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home N.E.
