Aminata Hope Jalloh

February 26, 1964 — October 2, 2023

Aminata Jalloh, born on the 26th of February 1964 to the late Pa Sorie Bangura and late Fatu Ulaimatu Bangura in Yonibana, Northern Province, Sierra Leone, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. At the tender age of three, after the untimely passing of her parents, Aminata's life took a new path as she relocated to Freetown under the loving guardianship of her late Uncle James Bangura.

Growing up in Freetown alongside her two brothers and five sisters, Aminata cherished the simple joys of childhood, spending countless hours playing with her siblings and neighbors. Her educational journey began at Fergusson Primary School and continued at Services Secondary School.

Upon completing her high school education, Aminata embarked on a fulfilling career as a secretary at the Ministry of Lands and Mines. It was during her school years in Freetown that she crossed paths with her beloved husband, Idrissa Jalloh, in 1980. Their love story blossomed, culminating in a beautiful wedding in 1983. Together, they were blessed with four wonderful children: Ulaimatu, Isaiah, Abdul, and Omar Jalloh. Aminata's love extended to her two cherished grandchildren, Isaac and Gabriel Conteh.

In 1991, Aminata embarked on a new chapter in her life, migrating to the United States and settling in New Jersey. Later, she found her new home in Columbus, Ohio, where she made her mark in the healthcare industry. In 2006, she also found solace in her Christian faith, becoming a cherished pioneer member of Joshua's Generation family until the day she transitioned to Glory.

Aminata's passions were as diverse as her life experiences. Her culinary talents shone bright as she delighted in cooking, with Rice and Cassava leaf being her signature dish. Her peanut butter soup recipe even earned a place in a published cookbook through a cooking competition. She dedicated her time and heart to volunteering at Faith Mission, where she served home-cooked meals to those in need. Aminata's joy knew no bounds when she spent quality time with her adored grandchildren and her loyal companion, her cute puppy named Tweet.

Beyond her many accomplishments, Aminata was a wellspring of wisdom, offering valuable life lessons to people of all ages, particularly to married couples seeking guidance on the journey of love.

Aminata touched countless lives during her remarkable journey, leaving an enduring legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Her absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew her.

Aminata Hope Jalloh transitioned peacefully on the 2nd of October 2023 at the age of 59. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in the loving embrace of her Lord, finding eternal peace in His bosom.
