Andrew "Andy" Mahugh, age 45, of Hilliard passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on November 2, 2022. He was born in Columbus on August 2, 1977 to parents Rebecca Mahugh and David Mahugh. Andy is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Glen Mahugh, Richard and Norma Jean Hockenbery.
Andy is survived by his devoted mother, Rebecca; grandmother, Mary Mahugh; brother, Doug Mahugh; sister, Melissa (Ryan) Greer; nephews, Hayden Mahugh, Austin Greer, Brody Greer; aunts, Beverly (Skip) Hall, Diana (Skip) Morris, Betsy Postle, Doris (Greg) Gillespie; uncle, Bob (Barbara) Hockenbery; many "favorite" cousins along with an abundance of family and friends.
Andy loved everyone and never knew a stranger. His hugs were legendary and his smile was infectious. Andy was an original Special Olympics athlete of the Northwest Super Stars where he enjoyed participating in all sorts of sports. He was a 1997 graduate of Hilliard High School where he loved working in the office and helping out with the football team. Andy's greatest love was for the Grand Ole' Opry and he never missed an episode. His happiest place on earth was Nashville Tennessee. Andy will forever be remembered and missed every day.
